There's a particular kind of magic in the turning of the year - the first snowdrop pushing through frost, the hedgerows heavy with blackberries, the long dark of midwinter giving way. I’ve spent my life paying attention to that rhythm, and for the last ten years, I've been trying to put it onto paper.

I'm Sophie - illustrator, designer and content creator - the hands (and heart) behind A Spellbound Story. My background is in fashion and textiles, and before this I ran Moon Child, an apparel brand that grew a community of over 20,000 kindred spirits and won a Junior Design Award along the way. 

A Spellbound Story is where all my passions meet. Every design starts the same way - with a walk, a moon phase, or an idea I can't stop turning over. From there it becomes a print, a printable, a tarot spread, a card ….Or your brand/logo if we work together!

Behind the scenes, I am a Mama of three little ones, based in Harrogate, North Yorkshire alongside my freelance content work, and usually found in my garden or getting told off by my children for getting distracted by a tree or something while I should be opening their juice!
